Never have I been so compelled to lose weight ever in my life. I mean, everyone knows that my 'Diet Plan' is forever ongoing. But with the amount of ice cream, cakes and whatever desserts that I'm always stuffing down my throat, the 'Diet' in my 'Diet Plan' has absolutely no weight loss connotation, hurhur...

So yeah, just a few days back it suddenly struck me that I have to get in shape no matter what, even if it means baking without eating, even if it means looking at a tub of ice cream and chewing at the cover instead of the cream, I HAVE TO LOSE THE FREAKING LOVE HANDLES!!! ARGH!!!!! Haha, don't ask me why am I doing this, cause I don't even know why such an incident have such a impact on me.... sigh, what to do? Life is hard, we are no longer living in the Tang Dynasty, hear that Koh Fangling?

But now, there is a problem, 'cause I just go this yesterday

SHIT! WTH?! WHY AT THIS TIME?! (Anyway, SO gave this to me for 1st year *SMILES*)
What is gonna happen to my diet? I wasn't being exactly serious about chewing on covers :(

Okay, it can't be that bad, shall open it up and see what wonders are there, don't think it will be that enticing either. Afterall, it's JUST chocolates (Like who am I trying to bluff?)
See, nothing much... it's just "16" pieces of Chocolates *Burps*

Okay okay, I guess it really doesn't hurt my Diet Plan that much to have just a piece of chocolate a day, cut me some slack pleeeeeeease :(
----------------------------------------------------------------
Oh yeah, I've been rather into the Red Velvet Cake recently (okay, please ignore the previous segment of this post) For those who hasn't heard of it, it's not any special flavoured cake, it's actually just a Chocolate with red colouring. I guess I'm intrigued by it due to the fact that it's red and that it's not usually found in Singapore plus it's the first cake which exposes me to the Cream Cheese Frosting.

So there I go, went around quite a few places trying out different types of Red Velvet Cake...

I'll start with the most horrible one, as in really really horrible
This was really bad, it was from Food For Thoughts and it's supposedly their signature dessert. What bullshit, the cake is tough, it taste like hardened paste rather than cake. The Frosting was also sour!!! Cheese being sour?! It's either they added sour cream, used some other type of cream cheese or their frosting is spoilt!

The second one
This one is from coffee bean, it's way much better than the previous one from Food For Thoughts, but it's a little crumbly. The frosting is nice, but overall the cake is a little too heavy as there is too little frosting in between the layer.

The next one is from Universal Studios, had it when I was there on Monday,
This is an improved version of Coffee bean's. The texture of the cake was good, and there was enough frosting. I kinda like it :)

The one I like second best is from Island Creamery. I don't have a picture of it, so I shall put up the one which I baked! Hurhur (So BHB of me)
Hey, mine was really nice okay... even my colleagues said so :P Okay la, ignore the aesthetics part, I quote from Anna Gare "A messy cook is a creative cook" :P What i like about Island Creamery's Red Velvet is its' texture, it's firm but springy, makes every bite interesting, for me that is :)

The best of all, which I have tasted so far, comes from O' Coffee Club! :)
I love this the best not because it's beautifully adorned but because of the real soft velvety texture of the sponge. They don't call this Red Velvet for nothing. But guess what, it's almost $7 for such a piece, and it's no longer than my palm, everyone knows how small my palm is... hurhur.

So that's about it, shall blog again next time :)

Cake Fact: Eggs not only contribute to the structure of the cake by holding it together. The yolks also act as an emulsifier which allow the oil and water in the cake batter to come together :)
